It’s not uncommon for us to hear that a patient experiences a certain level of fear when visiting our office. While we try to make your experience as comfortable as possible, we understand that sometimes treatments are not always a walk in the park. Over the past many months, we are noticing a transition from the typical anticipation that we are used to and are now seeing patients who no longer feel comfortable coming to our office at all. We want to assure you that, during these difficult times, we have made the safety of our patients and our team members our top priority.
During these times, it is extremely important to understand the role that your oral health plays in your overall health. The mouth is the gateway to the body, meaning it is the entry point to the digestive and respiratory systems. If bacteria enters or forms in the mouth, it has the potential to cause disease. By remaining diligent in your oral health, you can assist your body in growing your immunity to fight infections. Potential problem areas of growing decay can also be recognized and monitored.
We want to encourage our patients to continue to visit our office for scheduled dental examinations, cleanings, and treatments. We have numerous protocols in place to promote safety and well-being:
- Everything is sanitized for each patient
- Team members wear required PPE
- Proper disinfectants ensure that the office is clean at all times
- Pre-screening questions for each patient
If you continue to experience extremely anxious feelings, phobia, or fears about coming to our office, we want to hear from you. We have options for sedation and relaxation dentistry should it be needed.
If you have postponed or avoided any dental services or treatments due to uneasiness or fear, please contact our office today. We would love to discuss our safety measures and help address any other questions or concerns you may have. We look forward to seeing you in our office located in Baldwinsville, NY soon.
